چکیده
abstract sheath blight is an important rice disease in the mazandaran province of iran. biological control of this disease as alternative of chemical control with propiconazol (tilt) fungicide, examined with 3 biological products, trichodermin ab, trichodermin b and subtilin produced in iran. at first in the laboratory, fungi and bacterium isolated and purified from these products, and their ability for antibiosis and hyper-parasitism, of pathogen evaluated. then effect of these products comprised with tilt in the field on fajr cultivar in completely random block design with 4 replicates. disease severity and damage, plant infection height, one thousand seeds weight, mean of tillering, yield and height of plant estimated. the results showed, applying trichodermin ab can significantly decrease disease severity rate and damage, and prevent reduce of 1000 grains weight. at the level of healthy control and more better than fungicide propiconazol. therefore it can introduce to farmers as suitable alternative of chemical control. efficacy of this biological product for control rice sheath blight disease report for the first time from iran.

Bioefficacy of Strobilurin Based Fungicides against Rice Sheath Blight Disease
As the usage of fungicides catapulted with the onward march of the dial hour, fungicidal resistance by the pathogens emerged as a new constraint. This amalgamated with the growing demand by the farmers for crop protection agents with low use rates, a benign environmental profile and a low toxicity to human and wild life, further gave an impetus to the search of new molecule of fungicides with n...
متن کاملSheath Blight and Its Management in Rice
Rhizoctonia solani AG1-IA, is the most economically important disease in Texas and other southern rice-producing states. The disease is widespread and occurs every year. The disease was first reported in Japan in 1910, and was soon well established in many Asian countries (Lee and Rush, 1983). The pathogen is capable of infecting rice, soybeans, grass weeds, and hundreds of other plant species ...
متن کاملoptimization of inoculation method in sheath blight disease to detect rice cultivars actual reactions in the field
sheath blight disease, caused by rhizoctonia solani ag-1 ia, is one of the most serious fungal diseases of rice, worldwide. rice resistance is a relative phenomenon and disease response varied (due to complex quantitative inheritance and high environmental diversity), so an accurate disease assessment would be difficult. to detect a reliable reaction of rice in a high level of disease developme...
متن کاملEffects of Elevated Atmospheric CO(2) Concentration on the Infection of Rice Blast and Sheath Blight.
ABSTRACT The effect of elevated atmospheric CO(2) concentration on rice blast and sheath blight disease severity was studied in the field in northern Japan for 3 years. With free-air CO(2) enrichment (FACE), rice plants were grown in ambient and elevated ( approximately 200 to 280 mumol mol(-1) above ambient) CO(2) concentrations, and were artificially inoculated with consist of Magnaporthe ory...
